Janet, you were such an inspiration to me and so many others. You mentored and looked after me as a Student ODP 11 years ago. I cant quite believe its been 11 years, but I owe so much to you for always being there, helping, advising and being a listening ear. There was a point I nearly quit my course, but you told me that I had come so far, I couldnt give it up now. So I put my big girl pants on, I went back in there and I finished that course. It helped that I had the strongest most determined woman helping me on the side lines. 

I remember when I expressed an interest in Paediatrics as my final placement, and you made me promise that I wouldnt become broody and fall pregnant; too much paperwork you said! Thankfully, I didnt and I finished my course and im still an ODP, and its all thanks to you. 

You have touched the lives of so many people in your life countless times over and im so grateful to have known you.

I hope that where ever you are, you are drinking good tea and chatting with lost loved ones, but most importantly I hope that you are happy.

You will forever be remembered and missed, but you will always be admired for years to come.
