‘As you used to remind us it was only supposed to be a short-term secondment to the training role, during which you managed to nurture dozens of students and support their mentors over the years, showing patience and professionalism and creating lasting friendships. 
Latterly as the Education Team, we had fun with your great sense of humour. We remember your naughty chair for Caroline, leaving her outside the office, and underneath a security camera, on quite a few occasions; you had to be there to understand! We also fondly remember your infectious laugh, your singing and your very personal sense of time management. You were a great storyteller and you were able to have a natter with anyone. Janet, you had a unique personality and your loyalty as a friend and colleague, and your generosity, were greatly appreciated. 
We are heartbroken that you did not have long to enjoy your retirement and all your various hobbies and the adventures you had hoped for. When we can, the three of us will meet up and go to Costa and toast you with a latte. 
We will miss you very much. May you know God's blessing x’
